Regular Steel Shredder V2.1
Includes;
- 74 laser cut parts in regular steel S235 . According to Precious Plastic drawings. PP Capi Spain has created the third revision of the original drawings, and we have improved the manufacturing tolerances facilitating the assembly.
- 1 shaft made of regular steel F-112. According to Precious Plastic drawings (laser cutting parts fit onto this shaft).
- 2 units UCFL204 bearings according to Precious Plastic specifications (bearings fit on the shaft and on the laser cut parts).
- Regular steel nuts and bolts.
- Precious Plastic specifies stainless steel. We offer alternative ways in regular steel, at a lower cost than stainless steel.
- To assemble the shredder, you will have to complete several steps. This kit requires manual assembly and basic mechanical operations—it is not a plug-and-play system. Please check the assembly instructions.
Options
The kit offers multiple configuration options
We have a option, where you can order our “Evolution Shaft”. Based on the original Precious Plastic design, we have modified it by removing the excess and adding a keyway (key included).
We have an option with the 4 Conic Drill. This operation is essential for the assembly of the machine. Where the head of the countersunk screws are inserted. You can decide whether you make them yourself or we send them to you already made.
We have an option with the sieve with holes D= 8 mm (e = 1,5 mm, 149x149 mm) or with the sieve with holes D= 4 mm (e = 1,5 mm, 149x149 mm).
We also supply the individual components separately, according to your requerements.
Assembly Instructions
With our kit you would NOT get the complete shredder. In order to have the complete shredder, you would need the following items;
- Hopper
- Support base
- Electric motor. Precious Plastic recommends a 380 V, 2.2 kW, three-phase motor.
- Gearbox
- Coupling between gearbox and shaft
- Sieve
- Electrical and control components

- In Rev3, we have introduced minor changes in the designs, correcting small errors and improving the original drawings, in order to facilitate a better fit between parts.
- All our parts are made from S235 regular steel (or a similar grade, depending on availability)
- All parts are manufactured using laser cutting technology
- This technology enables the production of parts with high-quality finishes and excellent tolerances.
Shafts based on the original Precious Plastic design, manufactured from F-112 (or F-114) regular steel using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) technology.
This process allows for high-quality surface finishes and excellent manufacturing tolerances.

Based on the original Precious Plastic design, with significant improvements:
We removed the excess shaft length to enhance safety.
A keyway has been added to facilitate connection with the gearbox (recommended only for users with advanced mechanical skills)
- 🔢 Total Number of Pieces: The kit includes a complete set of 36 high-strength fasteners carefully matched for the structural assembly of the shredder housing.
- 📜 Professional Manufacturing Quality (EN ISO 898-1): Bolts are supplied in property class 8.8 or 10.9 strictly compliant with the international ISO 898-1 standard. Class 8.8 delivers a minimum tensile strength of 800 MPa, while class 10.9 reaches 1040 MPa. This ensures the hardware can withstand heavy dynamic torque and constant impacts during the shredding cycle without stretching or failing.
- 🛡️ Surface Treatments and Finishes: Features a protective zinc-plated, galvanized, or black-oxide finish. These industrial coatings offer superior corrosion and rust resistance, radically extending the lifespan of the hardware in workshop environments.

- Inner Diameter (Shaft): 20 mm (perfect fit with the original shaft and Evolution Shaft).
- Housing Material: Heavy-duty cast iron to dampen structural vibrations.
- Bearing Material: High-durability chrome steel.
- Shaft Fastening: Set screws integrated into the inner ring for a secure lock against slippage.
- Maintenance: Features a built-in grease nipple.
- Guaranteed Precision Fit: Say goodbye to dangerous clearances or loose plays.
- High Load Capacity: Engineered to withstand both dynamic load (during shredding) and static load.
- Misalignment Compensation: The self-aligning design absorbs minor deviations during frame welding, preventing premature blade wear.
Optionally, we offer to perform Conic Drills: where the heads of the countersunk screws are inserted from the inside of the machine. This way, the screw heads will not come into contact with the blades.
- ⚡ D = 8 mm Sieve (High Speed): Engineered to optimize your workshop’s workflow. It allows faster material passage, resulting in higher shredding speed per hour. Perfect if you need to process large volumes of plastic quickly.
- 🔎 D = 4 mm Sieve (Maximum Filtering): Designed for high-precision projects. It delivers a much smaller and uniform shredded plastic size, ideal for directly feeding injection machines or filament extruders without jamming.
- 🛠️ Interchangeable & Robust: Both sieves are laser-cut from high-strength carbon steel, guaranteeing a perfect millimeter-accurate fit inside the shredder’s bottom drawer.

Coupling
To connect the shredder shaft to the gearbox, we recommend using a flexible coupling
Improved Safety
In case of jamming, the shaft will slide on the bushing, avoiding unwanted and dangerous over-tensioning. The bushing includes a keyway (only for users with advanced mechanical knowledge).
Prolong the life of your shredder
It absorbs minor misalignments between the shaft and the gearbox, thereby reducing vibrations and fatigue stresses
Improve efficiency
The motor will run more evenly, minimizing power surges
